SMS Messaging Terms and Conditions

These SMS Messaging Terms and Conditions govern the text messaging program operated by Kerry Hillis for Moraga Town Council (the “Campaign,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By opting in to receive text messages from the Campaign, you agree to these terms.

1. Program Description

The Campaign’s SMS messaging program provides political and campaign-related communications, including campaign updates, election information, event announcements, volunteer opportunities, voter engagement messages, and fundraising requests.

2. Enrollment and Consent

By affirmatively opting in to receive SMS messages, you consent to receive recurring text messages from Kerry Hillis for Moraga Town Council at the mobile number provided.

Messages may be sent using automated technology where disclosed.

Providing your phone number alone does not constitute consent to receive recurring campaign messages. Consent is not required to make a donation, volunteer, or otherwise engage with the Campaign.

3. Message Frequency

We also honor other reasonable requests to discontinue messaging, including CANCEL, END, QUIT, and UNSUBSCRIBE.

After opting out, you may receive one confirmation message. You will not receive additional Campaign text messages unless you opt in again.

For assistance, reply HELP to any Campaign text message.

7. Privacy

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information.

Mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in information, and consent records will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

8. Your Responsibilities

Messages may occasionally be delayed or undelivered. Mobile carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.

10. Changes to These Terms

The Campaign may update these SMS Messaging Terms and Conditions as necessary.

Any material changes will be posted on this page. Changes will not expand the scope of your SMS consent without any additional notice or consent required by applicable law.

You may opt out at any time by replying STOP.

11. Disclaimer

The SMS messaging program is provided on an “as available” basis. The Campaign cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free message delivery.

Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
